The website is evolving. The project team believes that it is crucial that the structure and content of the site comes from the user organisations. The contributors are experienced Board Members, Executives and Senior Managers sharing their best practice models and documents with the broader Indigenous Primary Health and Related Service Delivery community. The site will evolve as the participation rate grows and users' requirements and requests change.

The site was launched at the National Aboriginal Community Controlled National Conference in Broome, Western Australia, on 14th November 2008 and has been growing in content ever since with items contributed by the Affiliates and the Services.  Major revisions were posted in July 2009 and December 2009.

The site is being developed by the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia as the "lead organisation" representing:

  • Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA)
  • Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA)
  • Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC)
  • Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance of the Northern Territory (AMSANT)
  • Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC)
  • National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)
  • Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation (TAC)
  • Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO)
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Services

Further OATSIH funded organisations and their respective peak bodies are being invited to join the initiative. Please fill out the Contact Us e-mail form to request an account.  All OATSIH funded Community Controlled organisations are welcome to contribute and to participate.

The site is funded by the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH) - National Office in Canberra - Quality and Accreditation Section.
